Survey for ellipsometer replacement

The current ellipsometer in FIRST was purchased in the year 2000. The software is still running under Windows XP because any update will not smoothly work with the old components. The NIR option is not operational anymore due to a lack of software drivers for the detection unit. Therefore, we are aiming for replacement. I would like to know about your needs to tailor the specifications of a new ellipsometer. Thank you for your support by participating in this survey!

The common spectral range of an ellipsometer is around 360 - 1000 nm. Do you need an extension of the wavlength range to UV (250 - 360 nm) and/or NIR (1000 - 1700 nm)?
